| Description |
Work Zone Awareness Week 2010 is being observed in New Jersey with this annual event. This year's national theme is "Work Zones Need Your Undivided Attention." The conference promotes work zone safety awareness among a multidisciplinary audience from construction, maintenance and operations, engineering, and public safety. This year, the agenda will include presentations regarding changes to the MUTCD Part 6, the OSHA perspective on how the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act's (ARRA) has increased roadway construction, a panel discussion of work zone safety protective equipment, and a case study session with interactive roundtable discussion. |

| Sponsors/Partners | The New Jersey Work Zone Safety Partnership (NJWZSP) is an ad hoc committee with the primary goal of promoting work zone safety education and awareness to reduce the number of workers being killed in work zones. The NJWZSP includes representatives from AGC, APA, CIAP, FHWA–NJ Division, UTCA, NJ Laborers’ Health & Safety Fund, General Laborers Locals # 172 and # 472, New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety, NJDOT, New Jersey State Police, OHSA, Rutgers' CAIT-NJ LTAP, the utility industry, and several other agencies.
