Environment & Energy

The demand for energy is growing. Rising costs and our concern over climate change are driving us to search for cleaner and more efficient means of producing power. New energy sources must be clean, sustainable, and efficient, and these sources must free us from foreign dependencies.
How will we fuel our vehicles, homes, and businesses as the demand for power continues to grow? Attractive energy options—such as solar and wind—are beginning to take hold across the country. These clean, renewable sources are likely candidates for the future of energy.
CAIT is working on developing technologies for new energy options, but perhaps more importantly, CAIT is examining, modeling, and designing flexible and reliable infrastructure that will bring them to all Americans.
