DESCRIPTION:Concrete is everywhere — we walk on it\, drive on it\, and work with it — and it is vital to building and maintaining the bridges and roadways that make up our transportation systems. But due to its popularity and many uses\, concrete also contributes approximately 8% of the world’s CO2 emissions despite having a relatively low carbon intensity compared to other building materials. \nDr. Matthew P. Adams and Dr. Matthew Bandelt\, University Transportation Center partners from the New Jersey Institute of Technology\, have been researching this area and investigating innovative applications for sustainable concrete materials and technologies.
