SUMMARY:NJLTAP - Engineering Ethics (Webinar)
DESCRIPTION:Course Description:\nEthical decision-making is one of the chief responsibilities of leaders in any profession. Obeying the law is what we must do. Behaving ethically is what we ought to do\, but not necessarily have to. Is it the ethical choice? \nWhether you work in the private sector or with a government agency\, you will be able to participate in this interactive class based on real world case studies and solve the ethical decisions you and your fellow engineers encounter. The State of New Jersey requires professional engineers and Certified Public Works Managers to receive continuing professional competency credits in ethics as part of their license renewal process. This workshop will provide you with 3 PDH/3 CEUs towards your renewal obligations. \nLearning Objectives:   \n\nApply your knowledge and experiences to make ethical choices as a professional engineer\nUnderstand how to navigate difficult ethical situations that arise on the job\n\nIntended Audience:\nEngineers and those with related professional responsibilities in the public sector. \nPre-Requisites:\nNone \nCredits:\n3 PDH\, 3 CPWM Ethics contact hours \nPresenter:\nGordon Meth\, P.E.\, PTOE\, PTP\, RSP2I\, Transportation Engineering Expert Witness\, Robson Forensic \nSponsor:\nThis workshop is sponsored by the New Jersey Chapter of the American Public Works Association in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration and New Jersey Department of Transportation through the New Jersey Local Technical Assistance Program.
