SUMMARY:NJLTAP - 2023 MS4 Stormwater Permit Changes (Webinar)
DESCRIPTION:Course Description:\nThis mini webinar will help public works departments understand and comply with the 2023 MS4 Stormwater Permit Changes. \nIn 2023\, New Jersey’s MS4 stormwater permit underwent significant changes\, including the implementation of a two-tier system (Tier A and Tier B) with varying requirements\, a focus on developing Watershed Improvement Plans (WIPs)\, and the Inland Flood Protection Rule\, all aimed at improving water quality and flood resilience. The changes introduced a number of significant changes for municipalities and the new requirements will require significant upgrades to New Jersey municipalities’ stormwater programs. Most notably\, municipalities formerly classified as Tier B must now meet the same requirements as Tier A municipalities. \nLearning Objectives:  \n\nUnderstand Tier A and Tier B requirements.\nUnderstand municipal reporting requirements.\nUnderstand watershed level planning.\n\nIntended Audience:\nAnyone involved in municipal public works management and operations. \nPre-Requisites:\nNone \nCredits:\n1 PDH; 1 CPWM Management contact hours \nPresenter:\nRichard Brevogel\, CPWM and Mark Getsinger\, PE\, Remington & Vernick Engineers \nSponsor:\nThis workshop is sponsored by the New Jersey Chapter of the American Public Works Association in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration and New Jersey Department of Transportation through the New Jersey Local Technical Assistance Program.
