USDOT Industry Day Theme Image.

The U.S. Department of Transportation and the Rutgers University Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) invite you to join us for the  2026 USDOT Industry Day Expo.

Industry Day will showcase deployable technologies and practical pathways to implementation for improving bridge safety, assessment, and management while addressing adoption barriers. Presentations will include a mix of emerging and existing technologies without widespread penetration among bridge owners in the United States.

By convening USDOT leadership, state DOTs, local agencies, industry, and research partners, the Industry Day will serve as a national forum for aligning technology readiness with agency needs, clarifying practical pathways to implementation, and advancing bridge innovation from development to sustained deployment.

This event is organized as part of the Advanced Bridge Technology Clearinghouse (ABTC) initiative, a cooperative agreement between USDOT and Rutgers CAIT to accelerate the implementation of innovative bridge technologies.

Program Highlights

This event offers a unique opportunity to connect with peers, learn from national leaders, and engage directly with the companies developing the tools and technologies that will define the future of bridge safety, assessment and management in the United States.

  • Keynote presentations from national experts on emerging technologies related to bridge safety, assessment and management
  • State DOT implementation stories and case studies focusing on real-world applications, lessons learned, and measurable outcomes
  • Interactive technology showcases featuring hands on demonstrations from industry providers specializing in risk mitigation, hazard monitoring, bridge inspection, SHM/NDE technologies, and asset management software
  • Cross-sector perspectives on overcoming technology adoption barriers at scale
