The following is a list of materials presented by Dr. Sougata Roy on May 20th and 21st at Rutgers CAIT. This two-day workshop provided training on designing and evaluating steel bridges for fatigue and fracture limit states according to the latest editions of the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and the AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation. The course coverd: the fundamentals of fatigue and fracture of steel structures; the background to the fatigue and fracture provisions within the AASHTO specifications; applications of the provisions for designing steel bridges for fatigue and fracture including design examples; evaluation of existing steel bridges for remaining fatigue life and fracture resistance, including design examples; Inspection, repair and retrofit of steel bridges for fatigue and fracture, both strategies and application examples.
The materials on this page will be available until 8/1/2019; please download at the following link by that time.
