Several University Transportation Center (UTC) partner schools of the Rutgers Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) were recognized in this list as well.

This includes Princeton University at #1 in National Universities and #12 in Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs, Columbia University at #3 in National Universities and #13 in Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs, Cornell University at #18 in National Universities and #9 in Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs, Rutgers New Brunswick at #63 in National Universities and #48 in Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs, the University at Buffalo—SUNY at #88 in National Universities and #69 in Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs, the New Jersey institute of Technology at #118 in National Universities and #90 in Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs, and Rowan University at #187 In National Universities and #17 in Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs.

Speaking on the accomplishment, here is what some UTC partners had to say.

In a Rowan Today article, Dr. Stephanie Farrell, interim dean of the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering, said the trajectory of the college has never been better, as demonstrated by the latest rankings.

“As a college, we continue to trend upwards,” Dr. Farrell said in the Rowan Today article. “From the amount of research dollars, to the number of undergraduate and graduate students, to the number of new programs, we are committed to making sure this exciting growth translates into ways that enhance our student’s experience. Our goals are to ensure that our growing research program and our world-class undergraduate experience continue to offer unique academic opportunities.”

From the University at Buffalo, Kemper Lewis, dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, discussed the school’s commitment to building a comprehensive and inclusive environment.

“Having our engineering and computer science programs recognized as among the best in the nation reflects our deep commitment to building a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment where faculty and students work in world-class facilities that foster interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative research that addresses society’s most pressing problems,” Dean Lewis said in a news release.
