Course Description:
Focused on the preparation, review, and evaluation of Traffic Impact Analyses (TIAs) for land development projects. This course covers different approaches to quantify safety, operational  implications of land development. Tools and methods to quantify impacts include highway safety manual, highway capacity manual.

1. Introduction into land development
2. Data needs to deliver quantitative evaluation of safety and operational effects
3. Safety evaluation and TIA
4. Operational evaluation and TIA

Intended Audience:
State and local transportation agency staff, MPO and county planning staff, municipal planners and engineers, traffic operations and safety engineers, consulting engineers preparing or reviewing TIAs
