This follow up session is intended to build upon the content previously covered in the Fundamentals of Asset Management Part 1 course (The TAM Journey & Fundamental Components) and is generally geared towards folks who are involved with or responsible for maintenance and operations planning and management, and or those who are involved with or responsible for the development of capital planning and programming.

The course will delve deeply into the use of current asset investment planning technologies and methods and will demonstrate how users can perform life cycle planning and trade off analysis that result in objectively derived asset and portfolio interventions that are based on quantifiable data and human applied influences.

This course and each of the subsequent courses in the academy are being offered at a rate of $250 for industry and $100 for public employees.

Mr. Ryen Tarbet

Ryen Tarbet
Mr. Tarbet began his asset management career as a geographic information system (GIS) analyst in local government by way of administering a GIS centric enterprise asset management software system. 23 years later, Mr. Tarbet has enjoyed working with DOTs, ports, cities, wet utilities and power utilities, and federal agencies to support their asset management journeys.

Mr. Bash is the Deputy Executive Director – Operations Assets and Technology for Sound Transit in Seattle Washington. He is an asset management industry veteran of over 30 years with broad experience in transportation, aviation and the water industries. He has designed asset management and technology solutions for local governments and public agencies in Europe, Australia, Southeast Asia and throughout North America.

Mr. Mahmoud Halfawy, Ph.D.

Mahmoud Halfawy
Dr. Halfawy is the Founder and CEO of Infrastructure Data Solutions (IDS), with over 30 years expertise in infrastructure management software. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer, and holds a Ph.D., M.Sc., and B.Sc., all in Civil Engineering. He develops software to solve problems and optimize programs for managing critical infrastructure assets.

Mr. Ashay Prabhu

Mr. Prabhu has over 20 years’ experience in strategic asset management and is an original Co-founder of Assetic. Ashay led the Australian Strategic Asset Management industry in the early 2000's, applying the science of condition assessments and budget optimisation across government sectors in local, state and federal agencies. He is passionate about life cycle costing.

Ms. Mildred Chua-Ulger

Ms. Mildred Chua-Ulger
Ms. Chua-Ulger was with New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority for 34 years before retiring in January 2021. She was CFO of MTA Tunnels and Bridges before becoming Director and Program Executive, Enterprise Information and Asset Management, where she led an organizational transformation that she based on ISO 55000.
