NJLTAP – Stormwater Regulations Impact on Daily Public Works Operations (Webinar)

  • June 17
  • 10:00 am–11:30 am

Course Description:
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection oversees the Stormwater Management Program for the state. Municipalities and Counties are required to obtain stormwater permits.

It is estimated that up to 60% of our existing water pollution problems are attributable to stormwater/nonpoint pollution. The Stormwater Management Program attempts to reduce stormwater/nonpoint pollutant contributions through the implementation of best management practices including public education. Stormwater management is important because it helps prevent flooding, erosion, and pollution. It also protects water quality and ecosystems.

So, how do we implement best practices to mitigate stormwater issues? How does public works consider stormwater in its day to day activities?

  1. Identify what public works activities impact stormwater
