NJLTAP Director’s Message

This past August, NJLTAP attended the National Local Technical Assistance Program Association Annual Conference in Stowe, Vermont. It was a great opportunity to meet with our partner programs from around the country and exchange new ideas and best practices. There were a wide range of sessions on various topics presented, including the future of connected vehicles, recent Every Day Counts 5 initiatives, and updates about the latest safety programs. We also learned about new technological innovations that were changing not only the face of transportation, but transportation training itself. These include the best ways to share ideas, engaging course attendees with new technology, and better collecting feedback from them afterwards. By learning about the most cutting edge transportation technologies before they hit the field, conferences like these help NJLTAP be prepared with answers before you have the questions.

We had a wonderful time in lovely Stowe, Vermont, and look forward to next year’s meeting!

Speaking of conferences, don’t forget that the NJDOT Research Showcase will be held on October 23rd! For a complete agenda, poster and presentation submission, and registration information, visit our events page today!
