NJ Transit Construction Law Refresher

construction lawThis virtual Construction Law Refresher course will provide an overview of the laws, rules, and regulations that govern the planning, design, and construction of buildings and structures. Expert instructors will discuss the basics of the Spearin Doctrine, design immunity, claim avoidance/mitigation, roles and responsibilities, and more, while also focusing on the relationships of the various parties in NJ Transit project delivery methods.

Understanding these complex relationships is key to effectively communicating, fulfilling roles and responsibilities, and avoiding claims. Course instructors will present the material with emphasis on the procurement processes used by NJ Transit. They will also cover how land use regulations, building permits process, and working with other agencies affects projects — among the other topics listed below.
