CAIT Seminar Series: Autonomous Vehicles: Testing, Public Acceptance and Accessibility

  • February 10, 2022
  • 1:00 pm–2:00 pm
In this presentation, Dr. Adel W. Sadek from the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering at the University at Buffalo will briefly summarize some of his team’s recent research into Autonomous Vehicles. Specifically, they will review three AV projects which have recently been completed or are currently underway.

In the first effort, the focus was on evaluating the safety of Olli. The second effort evaluated public acceptance of AV. The third study is one of the recently awarded ITS4US Complete Trip Deployment projects, which is leveraging advanced technology to address the mobility and accessibility needs of vulnerable populations. A major component of the ITS4US project involves the deployment of Low-speed, Self-Driving Shuttles to address first- and last- mile challenges.

Attendees are eligible to receive 1 PDH Credit.
