CAIT Seminar Series: How can artificial intelligence transform the surface transportation system?

  • February 23, 2022
  • 1:00 pm–2:00 pm

The surface transportation system has not yet taken full advantage of artificial intelligence and specifically machine learning and processing power capabilities for applied projects.

During this talk, Dr. Yeganeh Hayeri from the School of Systems and Enterprises at Stevens Institute of Technology, will evaluate this gap by utilizing a systematic review approach to categorize and synthesize the principal existing concepts in surface transportation systems using machine learning algorithms while decomposing them into their fundamental elements.

The goal is to showcase the current opportunities for research and development in applied machine learning in surface transportation to accelerate technology advancements while directly benefiting society and the economy by resolving mobility and safety issues.
