UAlbany's Albany Visualization and Informatics Lab (AVAIL) developed a state-of-the-art web-based congestion, reliability and incident analysis tool for the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) and the New York State Association of MPOs (NYSAMPO), using the National Performance Management Research Data Set.

The Annual New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) Research Showcase is an opportunity for New Jersey’s transportation community to experience the broad scope of ongoing academic research initiatives and share technology transfer activities being conducted by institutions of higher education and their associates.

In this free seminar, researchers from NJIT will discuss their work to date studying the uses and benefits of recycled concrete as a replacement for natural aggregate, sustainable rapid-repair cements for infrastructure maintenance, understanding the durability of low-carbon concrete mixtures, and more.

This course will provide students with enough information to develop an asset management program from scratch or allow them to build upon an existing program through exposure to both theory-based research and development outcomes as well as use cases and best practices that are based on real world examples.

Dr. James W. Hughes has been tracking economic recovery from COVID-19 and its impact on transportation, demographic shifts, and more throughout the pandemic. In this free webinar, he will discuss trends that transportation is facing, opportunities, and what the “new” normal might look like as we head into the new year.

UTC and industry partners from Farmingdale State College, Cornell University, GatewayJFK, and Cayuga Partners have been studying cargo supply chain in and around JFK International Airport during the past year to help better facilitate and optimize truck movements throughout the facility. 

In this presentation, Dr. Adel W. Sadek from the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering at the University at Buffalo will briefly summarize some of his team's recent research into Autonomous Vehicles. Specifically, they will review three AV projects which have recently been completed or are underway.

During this talk, Dr. Yeganeh Hayeri will evaluate this gap by utilizing a systematic review approach to categorize and synthesize the principal existing concepts in surface transportation systems using machine learning algorithms while decomposing them into their fundamental elements.

The way that we think about and use transportation as it exists today has been shaped by innovative women leaders throughout history. They have contributed greatly to the safety of all modes of travel, efficiency of our transportation systems, and the development of new technology that drives transportation into the future.

This follow up, 2-day session is intended to build upon the content previously covered in the Fundamentals of Asset Management Part 1 course and is generally geared towards folks who are involved with or responsible for maintenance and operations planning and management.
